In this talk, I will introduce some progress on the product development using acoustic metamaterial technology. Some recent experience on the commercialization of new material technology will also be shared. Four job types, ranging from product R&D to project management, will be introduced during the seminar.

Dr. Shuyu Chen (Director, Lumi Technology Co., Ltd.) - Dr. Shuyu Chen received his B.S. in physics from Zhejiang University in 2006 and Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from HKUST in 2011. He is an expert in commercializing advanced functional material technologies. In 2014, Dr. Chen founded the Acoustic Metamaterials Group (AMG), the global industry leader in metamaterials. Dr. Chen is also the founder of Lumi Technology Company, which is a top local R&D platform for material technology commercialization.

Dr. Chen and his team were acknowledged by several awards, including the Gold Medal with the Congratulations of Jury of 45^th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, 2019 and 2021 Hong Kong Awards for Industries, etc.
